March Break 2026
March Break is just around the corner — that sweet little pause between the mid-winter grind and the final stretch to summer. It always seems to arrive right when we need it most.
We rounded up as many local options as we could find, and one thing stood out: there still aren’t a lot of true “drop-off for the day” camps for working parents. (Local businesses… we see an opportunity here ⭐️). If you’re sticking close to home this year, we hope this list helps you plan some memory-making moments. It’s a mix of activities to enjoy together and a few ideas the kids can dive into on their own.
And as always, if we’ve missed something wonderful, send it our way so we can share the love!
Lighthouse Festival Theatre
Cinderella
Tickets HERE for $17 each of 4 for $60
Poor Cinderella. All she wants to do is go to the Royal Ball to meet Prince Charming. But her mean Stepmother and stepsisters won’t let her go, so they ruin her dress and leave without her. With the help of her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella gets to go to the castle after all and make the grand entrance she’s always dreamed about. The only catch is that Cinderella must be back by midnight when the spell is broken! The comedic timing is bang on as curfews, lost footwear, and giant pumpkins abound in this fun-filled version of the classic fairy tale from DuffleBag Theatre, especially when members of the audience are invited to star in the show!
| Suitable for All Ages |
Fireside Munsch Classics
Tickets HERE for $17 each of 4 for $60
Fireside Munsch Classics is a laugh-out-loud, high-energy celebration of some of Canada’s most beloved children’s stories. Starring the wildly entertaining M. John Kennedy, this playful production brings four classic Robert Munsch tales to life in one wacky, fast-paced storytelling adventure. Audiences will delight in the outrageous antics of 50 Below Zero, the silliness of PIGS, the heartwarming surprises of Something Good, and the unforgettable heroine of The Paper Bag Princess.
Performed as a single, whirlwind play, Fireside Munsch Classics captures the joy, imagination, and mischievous spirit that have made Robert Munsch a household name for generations. With big characters, physical comedy, and plenty of audience engagement, this show keeps kids giggling and grown-ups smiling from start to finish.
Perfect for families, school-aged children, and anyone who grew up loving Munsch stories, this energetic theatrical experience proves that great storytelling never goes out of style.
