Carillon 100 - Service of Rededication

To mark the historic centennial of Norfolk Countyโ€™s War Memorial, a public service of rededication will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 โ€“ exactly 100 years to the day.

12:00 p.m.
A parade will form at the Royal Canadian Legion, Simcoe (200 West Street) and leave for the Carillon Tower under the command of the Legionโ€™s Sgt.-at-Arms.

*Service clubs and organizations interested in participating in the parade are asked to contact Norfolk County Heritage & Culture for full details.

1:00 p.m.
Rededication Service
At 1:00 p.m., the rededication service will commence. The service follows the original 1925 ceremony with enhancements of specially composed music performed by the Carillon100 youth choir and carillonneurs. Descendants of the Silver Cross Mothers, who originally dedicated the memorial plaques, will participate in laying wreaths.

2:00 p.m.
Parade returning to the Simcoe Legion
At approximately 2:00 p.m., the service will conclude with the parade returning to the Simcoe Legion where historical displays will be available for public viewing along with commemorative presentations.
